2 Timothy 1:6-7
“For this reason, I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God that you have through the imposition of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control.”

About Holy Orders

Holy Orders, more commonly known as Ordination, is the sacrament established by Jesus Christ so that His Church would be well-provided for by men who have set aside their own desires in order to minister to His people. There are three degrees of Holy Orders: episcopacy, which gives us bishops, priesthood, which gives us priests, and diaconate, which gives us deacons. These degrees together make up the ministerial priesthood, which is at the service of the priesthood of all the baptized.
